Driving Directions
- From the intersection of Bay / High streets, proceed northwest on High Street (becomes Empire Grade Road) for approximately 1 mile.
- At the stop light, turn RIGHT onto Heller Drive at the West Entrance of UCSC.
- Proceed up the hill.
- Immediately after the 4th stop sign, turn RIGHT onto Meyer Drive.
- Parking lot entrance is at the next stop sign.
- The Music Center and the Digital Arts Research Center are at the south end of the lot.
(The red asterisk on the map above indicates the location of the UCSC Parking Sales Office, explained in more detail below.)
Parking Instructions
KISS 2018 attendees who arrive on campus by car should park in the Performing Arts parking lot #126 (marked with the red asterisk in the image below:
Attendants will be stationed in the parking lot on Thursday from 13:15 to 17:00 and Friday from 9:15 to 10:15 to issue parking permits for the symposium. The attendants will be able to accept payment for the permits by cash, check, or credit card.
Permits cost:
- $10/day for Thursday and Friday
- $5/day for Saturday and Sunday
- $30 for all four days
Parking permits are necessary at all times during each day of the symposium.
If you arrive when no attendant is on duty, you can purchase permits from the UCSC Parking sales office during business hours on Thursday and Friday (see map below). After 16:30 on weekdays and all day during the weekend, you can use pay stations in the parking lot to purchase a parking permit for the remainder of the day at a $5 flat rate.
Also, there are a small number of short-term parking spaces available in the parking lot (2 hour limit, $2.50 per hour, credit card only, payable at the paystation in the parking lot).
